High damage, but incredibly weak.
Strategy
- The Looter is the cheapest T1 unit in the game, making it extremely economical to be used for splitting though it is primarily picked for its upgraded Pack Rat.
- While being cheap, it might not be preferred over Pollywog for splitting as ranged units allow for pulling the split which stalls for a longer period of time compared to melee units which clumps when it meets the wave.
- Like any other cheap T1 unit, the Looter can be spammed to tank for a slightly longer period of time in the later game such as wave 13, 15, 19 etc. where the wave does significantly more damage than the Looter's HP, causing the overkill damage which would kill high value tanks a lot faster. This might, however, work against you if the Opponent sends Mimic and/or Witch which benefits from killing many low cost units.
