Flying. Passively gains attack speed the longer it survives.

Strategy

  • A Proton's DPS scales with the length of the fighting phase and it takes a total of 120 seconds to reach its maximum DPS.
  • It is possible to reduce the time required to reach that maximum DPS through other ways to increase its mana gain such as Magician, Starcaller, Sacred Steed and Pegasus.
    • It is generally not recommended to use mana regeneration with Protons due to their low value and low DPS increase from it. Also, building too many of them while using Sacred Steed and Pegasus, the mana will be spread between many low value fighters rather than focusing on a few high value fighters.
  • Proton is a great Tier 1 fighter to split with if you want to make part of the wave walk around due to it being ranged. This kind of low cost range unit really help in Sea Serpent builds since they prevent the split from running back to the Sea Serpent when no mercenary sends are involved.
  • Protons are only used in openings if certain openings such as Windhawk where they are very low in value, or Fiesta openings, its upgrade Atom is a strong opener.
    • While its usage in openers is limited, it remains versatile and can help reach certain damage thresholds early game for certain builds. It can also add a lot of unexpected damage when paired with the Daphne ability since the Proton attack speed remains high despite having low damage.
