Strategy

  • A Seadragon is the base form of a Lifebinder both sharing a similar ability.
    • It's ability is to transfer a portion of it's health, multiplied by 2, to another Fighter, other than a Seadragon or a Lifebinder, upon reaching the appropriate mana cost. Most of the time the ability will not over-heal, but can happen on rare occasions.
      • The ability can not be casted if a Seadragon has exactly 1 health. The ability also cannot kill a Seadragon.
  • While the ability of a Seadragon may cause the player to think that a Seadragon must not take any kind of damage, the uptime of the fighter during the wave taking place is often not enough to go consume the entire health of a Seadragon using its ability.
    • The optimal use of a Seadragon early is to utilize part of its health to tank part of the wave enabling better holding possibilities.
      • The player will want to deviate from this practice in the later stages of the game where the health can be used more effectively on bigger tanks like a Arctaire, a Banana Haven or even a Green Devil. These Fighters have special abilities making the heal be worth more health or more damage.
  • One strong early combination is to pair a Seadragon with a Yozora or a Gargoyle. It allows great safety in terms of the frontline, even on waves those units are considered weak, most notably Wave 5: Scorpions in the case of the Yozora.
    • Having too many Seadragons early will cause the player some issues caused by the units low damage dealing capabilities. While a good source of magic damage, the Seadragon is mostly used for its support healing and adding survivability to units.
  • A Seadragon should not be upgraded up until when the player is able to utilize the extra health its heal will give or if it has a strong unit synergy allowing it to transfer more of its health in less time.
    • Another strong unit combination with a Seadragon is a Sacred Steed or a Starcaller. These Fighters allow the Seadragon to go through its health pool quite rapidly. Adding other support units, such as Ocean Templar, can create an ideal situation where the Seadragon can infinitely use its ability during a wave.
