Flying. Attacks enemies with gusts of wind.

Strategy

  • The Windhawk is a prized opener to many players due to its well balanced Attack and Health stats. While not able to hold Wave 1 alone, it is leaking only a minimal amount of creatures (1 or 2), which is incredibly good for its cost and enables a strong start for the Fiesta mastermind option. It is however not necessary to play Fiesta to utilize the Windhawk.
    • For newer players, a safe early build would be to stay 3 workers (or 2 depending on the Fighter you put down on Wave 1 to support the Windhawk) and get the Violet as soon as Wave 2 to make it hard for the opponent to leak you. You will need a strong answer for Wave 7 and Wave 8 to make this opener work. You can also get around the leak on Wave 1 by adding a Tier 1 Fighter.
    • For a more experienced player, it is easily possible to place the Windhawk alone an push to 5 Workers and accept the leak. With all masterminds, except Castle, it will be possible to build at least a 90 gold Fighter on Wave 2 to defend it. You however need to keep the defense of Wave 3 in mind, as it is a difficult wave for the Windhawk.
  • The Windhawk is also one of the few openers that can get away with 6 workers on Wave 2 in certain specific situations, when you have the proper Fighters to support it. The most notable Fighter to enable this push is the Aqua Spirit due to its great early stats and great typing for Wave 3.
    • If the player is being sent by a low worker opener and has been sent on wave 1, this start is possible.
    • If you are playing Fiesta, this aggressive start is recommended.
