Has a bouncing attack that burns enemies.

Strategy

  • The bounce mechanic from the Aqua Spirit is maintained but bounces to an additional target for a total of 3 (Initial target + two extras) increasing the potency of the identity of the fighter.
    • This does mean it keeps the mercenary interactions that the Aqua Spirit has.
  • Fire Elementals deal Magic.png Magic damage with its bounce ability which contrast with the fighter basic attack type which is Pierce and not magic. This allow this single fighter to cover a larger amount of waves.
  • Fire Elemental is highly versatile because of its mixed damage type and those types are effective from wave 1 through 8 if correctly protected on the waves where its defense type is very weak on (except wave 1 and 2 where the base damage of the wave is too low to be considered a threat for this fighter)
    • While the damage typing of the Fire Elemental is good on the first 8 waves of the game, some weaknesses do exist concerning some sends.
      • Since its damage is divided amongst a good number of units, a Safety Mole and a Hermit can cause significant trouble for the Fire Elemental, especially on wave 5 and wave 8.
      • Due to its arcane defense, the Fire Elemental can die easily if tanking too much of the wave or a high damage mercenary like the Cannoneer.
  • A good usage of the Fire Elemental is to balance the amount it tanks early with the time you are able to generate for its damage to stick to multiple targets, while covering for any problematic mercenaries.
    • Supporting it with a high single target damage fighter can help you deal with a Safety Mole or a Hermit, as well as taking care of additional melee mercenaries.
    • If a range mercenary is expected in the early game, having a melee fighter in the split can prevent this mercenary to attack the Fire Elemental initially. When there is multiple range sends, this trick do not work unless the split is higher than the Fire Elemental itself.
      • Normally, by the point you get multiple range mercenaries, all off your ranged fighters should be protected with some exception such as the Priestess Of The Abyss or others that benefit from taking damage.
  • Be sure to not overinvest into them in the early game since, after the first 8 waves, wave 9 and wave 10 are impossible for the Aqua Spirit upgrade path to deal with.
