On the main page of Legion TD 2, one of the main menu options is "Learn". This section contains tutorials and resources for players to learn more about game mechanics and strategies. There are currently four sections: "Tutorials", "Top Games", "Codex", and "Sandbox."

A screenshot of the four options within the "Learn" menu: Tutorial, Top Games, Codex, and Sandbox. The rectangle for "Tutorial" has an image of a wooden Safety Mole training dummy with a target for a stomach. One arrow is embedded in the target, and two others are incoming (brown color scheme). The "Top Games" tab has an image of a silver trophy (blue color scheme). The "Codex" has an image of a journal open to blank pages, with green ribbons tucked beneath sections on both sides of it, and a feather quill hovering over it (green color scheme). The "Sandbox" has an image of a stylized silhouette with long robes, sharp fingers, and a crown; one bright eye stares at the viewer (black & green color scheme)

Tutorial

The tutorials are interactive overviews of different game controls and mechanics. Some tutorials are "Required", meaning they must be completed before the player can proceed to Player vs. Player content. Others are optional. Topics include when and how to build Fighters, sending mercenaries, and generating gold via income. Tutorials generally award experience points (XP) for completion.

The "Defend Your Lane" tutorial is selected. The preview image is of two Tempests in the lane, and is described as "Learn to build and upgrade fighters First time reward: +75XP Length: 3 minutes". The right of the rectangle has stacked tile previews of other tutorials. At the top is "Defend Your Lane (REQUIRED)", with a cropped image of the Earth King. Next is "Hire Mercenaries to Attack Your Opponents (REQUIRED)" with a cropped thumbnail of the Snail. The third tile is "Earn Income (REQUIRED)" with a cropped image of Consort. The fourth is "Fighter Positioning (Optional)", with a cropped Gral. Fifth is "Supportive Auras, the 'Hexagon' Formation (Optional)", with a cropped Butcher. The next tutorial is obscured by the orange "Start Tutorial" button

Top Games

"Top Games" refers to a collection of recent games featuring highly-ranked players. This feature can also be accessed through the Leaderboard. The games are sorted by row; the preview includes: Player rank, first fighter built, "Wave 10", Player name, Player's country, and "Game Rating."

Explanatory text reads: "Featuring recent top ranked games for every fighter. Select a game to view builds." Fields include "Rank", "Opening", "Wave 10", "Player", "Country", and "Game Rating." These fields are in yellow, and the last has a calendar icon next to it. There's a search bar at the top right.

Selecting a game will display additional information. As seen in the following example game from August 2022, the default display is of the overview. This includes statistics for all players at the time the game ended, such as the total value of their fighters, the number of Workers they built, and the average percent they leaked each wave.

The graphs default is the "Your Team Win Probability" option. This displays the percent likelihood that your team (or the team of the player whose game you are viewing) will win on any given wave. It is charted around a central 50% axis, as most games begin with 50-50 odds.

A screenshot of the default display for the "Graph" section of a Top Game. It's a chart of the winning team's win probability over time (as represented by wave number). The line stays close to the central 50% axis for the first 10 waves. It jumps to about 53% on wave one (the area beneath is shaded green). Then it gradually drops to about 45% by wave 7 (the area above is shaded red). It begins climbing again (area is green), remaining at about 60% for waves 11 and 12. Wave 13 begins at about 60%, then spikes to 100% for the final point: "End of Game".

Other options include: "Your Team Win Probability" (selected), "Team Power Score Advantage", "Team Gold Advantage", "Team Net Worth", "Team King Upgrades", "Player Power Score", "Player Net Worth", "Player Fighter Value", "Player Workers", "Player Income", "Player Mythium Sent", and "Player Mythium Received." These are generally also plotted against wave number.

Codex

The "Codex" contains information on gameplay controls and mechanics. The specific subsections are: "Game Manual", "Units", "King", "Legion Spell, "Emojis", and "Debug Commands (Sandbox)". The Game Manual section includes information on controls and gameplay mechanics. The "Units" section provides up-to-date information on the stats and abilities of Fighters, Mercenaries, and Wave units. The "King" section provides similar information about the King. "Legion Spell" provides up-to-date information about all the possible spells available starting Wave 11. "Emojis" lists the different emojis available via the in-game chat. "Debug Commands (Sandbox)" provides text-based commands that change parameters in debug mode (e.g. when using the Sandbox, see below)

The central image is of a lane; the explanatory text reads: "Move your mouse to the screen edge to move the camera. Use the scroll wheel to zoom in/out. Alternatively, you can use the arrow keys or middle-click & drag." There is a table of contents on the left. "Controls: Camera" is highlighted. The other entries include: "Controls: Shortcut", "Controls: HUD", "Controls: Scoreboard", "Controls: Pings", "Controls: Chat", "Controls: Chat Muting", "Controls: Reporting Players", "Controls: AUTO", "Controls: Queueing Actions", "Gameplay: Legions", "Gameplay: Mastermind", "Gameplay: Fighters", "Gameplay: Fighter Icons", "Gameplay: Gold", "Gameplay: Mythium", and "Gameplay: Waves". Other sections include "Units", "King", "Legion Spells", "Emojis", and "Debug Commands (Sandbox)".

Sandbox

The Sandbox is a special single-player mode in which players can use debug commands. These commands can alter game parameters at will. This can include granting infinite gold, locking in specific fighters, or changing the current wave. The Codex has a list of possible commands; these commands can also be viewed by typing "-help" into the Sandbox chat. While this mode is active, and mercenaries hired by the player will attack the player's lane on the next wave. This mode is useful for testing builds.

By default, a Sandbox game begins with an hour-long build phase before Wave 1. The player also has 10,000 gold and 10,000 mythium (though only 2 workers and 3 income as usual). Clicking the "Ready" button spawns the wave and any mercenaries the player hired. From this point forward, waves will spawn as normal unless debug commands are used.

A screenshot of the default loading state of the Sandbox. Most of the screen is taken up by an empty lane, beneath which are displayed the fighter icons of the Element Legion. The Attack Effectiveness and Wave Info panels are also visible. The chat log reads: "Debug mode enabled! Type -help for commands. Calenmir picked the Element Legion. Co-op mode enabled! You are playing without any opponents. Mercenaries you hire will spawn against you." Both kings are at 100%, and there is slightly less than 1 hour left on the wave timer. The "Ready" button shows 0/1. The player has 2 workers, 3 income, no defenses, 10,000 gold and 10,000 mythium.
